Qualified in Assessment, Internal Quality Assurance and Crisis Intervention
Mal is an award-winning Health & Social Care professional with 20 years of experience. He has a proven track record of supporting the most vulnerable and challenging children in our community. Mal created the highly regarded alternative education programme at Amelia Trust Farm including the safeguarding systems that have supported thousands of young people since its creation. Mal has professional qualifications in Youth Work, Health & Social Care, Crisis Management, Training & Assessment and Quality Assurance. He has also worked in the Vale of Glamorgan LEA behavioural support team and for youth services. Mal has studied martial arts since early childhood and has competed internationally with his highest achievement at European level. He holds blackbelts in Karate, Kudo (Japanese Mixed Martial Arts) and has direct affiliation to Japan as well as the UK. Mal believes in his community and regularly challenges himself to inspire others to do the same. He has organised and run numerous events include trekking on the Great Wall of China, Cycling from Greece to the UK and walked the Welsh Coastal Path to raise awareness of issues that affect people’s lives.
